Oven-Baked Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings

When I think of spicy Sriracha sauce, I usually think of Pho Bo or Pho Ga, the famous Vietnamese noodle soups to which I add Sriracha. Now Sriracha is everywhere and appears in the courts. You are no longer just a spice next to a dish. Asians have always eaten Sriracha, but now it finally gets the attention it deserves. It even has its own cult followers! How cool and scary is that ?!
What is that magical sauce? Srirarcha is an Asian hot sauce made from chili, garlic, vinegar, salt and sugar. Aside from Pho, Sriracha is an absolute must in my dip sauce in Vietnamese pork and shrimp spring rolls and jicama and carrot spring rolls. Recently, I had them as a marinade on baked chicken (jumped onto the Sriracha train) and to my pleasant surprise, the fusion was unbelievably delicious and the flavor was incredible! Oven-Baked Sriracha Honey Chicken Wings
I like to use wings or drums for my recipe with Sriracha honey chicken. The bite-sized portion of poultry is ideal for entertaining. For this Vietnamese-American fusion aperitif, I lean on a more traditional Vietnamese recipe. As a base, I use a traditional Vietnamese five-spice marinade. Then, at the end of the cooking process, I brush the wings with the Honey Sriracha Blend to highlight the sexy sauce. The result was full of flavor and I love this sticky, sweet and spicy glaze. For 5-7 persons

INGREDIENTS
Five-Spice Chicken Marinade:
1/2 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice
1/2 teaspoon MSG (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of chopped lemongrass
7 chopped garlic cloves
1 tablespoon of honey
Boil 1 tablespoon of wine
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon of tapioca starch
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
1 tablespoon fish sauce

40 small chicken wings
1/3 cup Sriracha hot sauce
1/2 cup honey
MANUAL
Preheat oven to 400 ° F.
Mix all the ingredients in the five spice marinade in a large bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat evenly. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
Spread the chicken in a layer on a prepared baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Then turn over and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Mix Sriracha and honey in a small bowl until they mix. Brush the wings with Sriracha-honey mixture, set the oven on roast. Bake golden brown. Flip and repeat.
